Vegan "Steak" with Homegrown Lions Mane Mushroom

This was our first homegrown Lions Mane mushroom steaks. It was so good and actually had a nice meaty texture and tasted like steak! I was surprised. Give it a try. First with a little oil or butter, pan sear the mushrooms and press out as much water as you can. Then put it into any marinade you want. We made ours with liquid smoke, garlic and onion seasoning, pepper, olive oil, liquid aminos, and a little soy sauce. Then soak for as long as you want. We waited 4 hours. Then cook it up like steak. It came out amazing. I just wish we had more.
