Youth Voters Swear They Will Get Trump Out Of Office This Year
According to a new poll, 77% of young voters say that they are going to show up and vote in November's election. This is the largest voting group in the country, and if they do show up with those kinds of numbers then they will absolutely change the direction of the country, because more than half of them say they are voting for Democrats across the board. But they have to show up to make that happen, and that's always been the problem, as Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins explains. Link - https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign... Recently three mental health professionals wrote an op ed for a raw story where they laid out several of the psychological reasons why Trump supporters are still Trump supporters. After all these individuals know that the president is lying to them on a daily basis, you know, they're there, there's no covering that up anymore. There's no denying that this is what's actually happening. So these psychologists sought to explain why it is people could still support this man when they know that they're being conned, that they're being lied to. And that in general, he's just a really horrible human being. And here is what these mental health professionals came up with the first reason. And this is, you know, kind of more of a, a fringe part of the Trump supporters. But one of the reasons they suggest could be just simple rebelliousness and chaos, meaning that some of these people kind of like the joker from the dark night, uh, they thrive off chaos. They want to see chaos. They just have this overwhelming urge to see destruction of the established order. And they see Trump according to these mental health professionals, as somebody who is bringing that. And man, is he bringing that he truly truly is. So that's one reason. The other one, a very obvious one is fear. You know, fear has been something that politicians have used throughout the history of politics. It's always vote for me because this person on the other side, they can't keep you safe. You vote for them. You could die. You vote for me, you're going to live. And it really does boil down to that. They don't always use that language sometimes they do, but I keep pointing out the fact that at the Republican convention, Matt Gates said, if you vote for Joe Biden, he's going to let ms. 13 gang members move next door to your house. I mean, that's about as blatant as you can get. It's also a very stupid argument. That's not going Happen, but The fear of it, or the fear of something, maybe not quite that severe, but that fear is enough to get people, to look past the lies and say, listen, I know the guy's lying about the economy. I know he's lying about this and that. And the other, however he has, you know, he's been president and ms. 13 is not living next door to me. I am too afraid to risk having that change by voting for Joe Biden. Now, obviously this is an irrational and illogical conclusion on behalf of these voters. Donald Trump is not the reason ms. 13 is not moved next door to you and Joe Biden. Wouldn't be the reason that they do. However they have psychologically constructed in their own minds. This pathway that says Trump prevented it, Biden Would make it happen. Third Reason, uh, security and order, which is what Donald Trump is running on. Uh, so far the polls have shown that this isn't exactly a winning strategy for them. It does work with some individuals. Sure. But this kind of also ties into the fear. I'm not exactly sure. To be honest, why they included that as a, uh, as a it's separate thing. It's essentially the same reasoning, the same rationale I just explained.
