"Let There Be Light" 1946 Army Film Preview interview - LSU History Prof. David Culbert
In the mid-1940s, Hollywood director John Huston recorded a documentary film for the U.S. Army depicting psychological combat trauma and efforts to treat returning World War II veterans. "Let There Be Light" was not seen by the public until 1980, and has now been restored by the National Archives. David Culbert has studied World War II films for over 30 years.
