Trains on the Needles Sub 3-16-25

On 3-16-25, me and my friend Nathan Wasserman (@dj_nate_da_great on Instagram) took a trip up to the Needles Sub for my birthday. We covered the eastern half of the Needles Sub between Amboy and Needles, as well as backtracking west towards Ludlow. We departed for here around 4 in the morning in an attempt to arrive by sunrise, and sure enough we beat our ETA by about half an hour! Here is what we caught Train 1: BNSF 6874 East Train 2: BNSF 5424 West Train 3: BNSF 7483 East Train 4: BNSF 3261 West Train 5: BNSF 7996 East Train 6: Same as train 4 Train 7: BNSF 7523 West Train 8: BNSF 8216 East Train 9: BNSF 6587 East Train 10: Amtrak 3 with P42DCs 196 and 153 running about 5-6 hours late Train 11: BNSF 5836 East Train 12: BNSF 7511 East Train 13: BNSF 7536 East (Geometry Train) Train 14: Same as train 8 Train 15: BNSF 4995 West Train 16: Same as train 9 Train 17: Same as train 11 Train 18: BNSF 5116 West Train 19: BNSF 6801 West Train 20: BNSF 3814 East Train 21: BNSF 6544 West Train 22: BNSF 7289 West Trains 23-28: A chase of NS 7549 East from Essex all the way to Klinefelter Train 29: BNSF 6764 departing Needles WB Train 30: BNSF 8337 departing Needles WB Train 31: BNSF 8322 West Train 32: Same as trains 9 and 16 Train 33: BNSF 6375 West Train 34: BNSF 3879 East Train 35: BNSF 8164 West Train 36: NS 7549 East once again. This time no horn action from it Trains 1-3 were shot at Amboy, Trains 4 and 5 were shot at Saltus, Trains 6-13 were shot at Ash Hill, Trains 14-22 were shot at Goffs (as well as the second clip of NS 7549), The last 5 shots were bonus shots shot in Topock, AZ! Literally did not think we were going to go all the way out there yet somehow we made it into Arizona! Definitely going to try to spent a full day at Topock probably during peak season.
