The Queen's Gambit Dress | Making The Beth Harmon Bow Dress | With Thrifted Fabric Yelllooo! I know some may consider The Queen's Gambit "Soo Passé", but I couldn't stop thinking about this Queen's Gambit Dress. AKA THE BOW dress!! It was definitely my second favourite (I already made the plaid one!) and I had the perfect white material that I got a while ago thrifting - I couldn't pass it up! Also, (I forgot to mention this in the video) the pattern I decided to reuse was made in 1967... What year was it when Beth play against Borgav in Paris wearing this dress?? Nineteen-freakin'-sixty-goshdarn-seven! IT WAS MEANT TO BEEE! I'm really happy it turned and I only have minor touch-ups to do! I really needed a win after my last dress! You may have noticed that I "forgot* the pocket facings. I won't lie, I did. I did forget. BUT when I was making the dress and the lining was attached I thought with all that fabric it may lay weird. SO, I thought I would just put on the facings and have a fake pockets *silent film faints*. But then when it came time to cut them out - I completely forget and I actually like the way it looks with out them. I don't really like a lot of fabric around that area to accentuate my hip dips! I hope you enjoyed my version of the Beth Harmon Bow Dress! Please like and subscribe - I post sewing videos every Monday and craft/misc videos every other Friday! See ya there! Want More?
