
RBI keeps repo rates unchanged at 6.5%, remains focused on withdrawal of accommodation
The Reserve Bank of India-led Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) on Thursday decided to keep the repurchase rate (repo rate) unchanged at 6.5 per cent for the ninth time in a row. RBI governor Shaktikanta Das, while announcing the decisions of the bi-monthly meet, said that the decision was taken with a majority of 4:2 by the MPC.
