Did the Car RUIN America? | The Geography of Nowhere Book Review

Did the Car RUIN America? | The Geography of Nowhere Book Review

The Geography of Nowhere was written by James Howard Kunstler. The book is about the rise and decline of America's man-made landscape. Kunstler believes that American buildings and cities are ugly, depressing, unhealthy, and spiritually degrading. The book attacks the suburbs and the communities we've built to accommodate the automobile. Kunstler believes that we won't always have access to cheap oil, and when that happens our suburban communities will fail because they aren't livable without a car. If you are interested in urban planning, geography, or building design, I think you will find this book interesting!
