In today’s video I am going to show you the home décor thrift haul from my latest “thrift with me” video at the “Guardian Angel” thrift store. I only spent $5.03 on this trip. I am also doing to do a little makeover DIY on one of the thrifted items I purchased in this haul. In this haul I got a wooden mouse flower frog, a small gold lantern, two glass coffee mugs, and a do it yourself decorating book. All of these items ended up going up on my bookcase. I made over the candle holder lantern so it would blend in with my current décor. I soaked the lantern overnight in vinegar, water, salt solution. This made most of the gold paint come off easily with a brush. I left some of the gold paint on the lantern so it would look chipped and rustic. I love how this simple DIY made it look! You don't have to spend tons of money to decorate your home. There are beautiful, unique and inexpensive second hand treasures just waiting for you. These home décor items can be found at your local goodwill, Salvation Army and other thrift stores in your area. Thrifting for your home can be a challenge but very rewarding and worth the hunt when you find just the right piece for your home! I really love finding boho and farmhouse décor at thrift stores!
