Cake Decorators Provide an Amazing Christmas For the Family of a Fallen Hero

About a month before Christmas, Paula Ames of Cake Creations by Paula Ames got a call from the aunt of a little girl named Azure. This aunt wanted to purchase a special gift for Azure because she new Christmas would be tight and difficult for her family. Azure's dad, Jerrick Petty of the First Airborne Division, lost his life in Iraq leaving Azure and her little brother Jerrick's mother to try to create a Christmas for her children off of not very much. Azure is a huge cake decorating fan and her aunt thought that a few cake decorating lessons from Paula would be a wonderful gift. When Paula heard this story, and having such a huge heart, she felt compelled to do everything she could to help this family with an amazing Christmas. Paula posted about this family with the request of simply gathering autographs from her celebrity cake decorator friends to give to Azure. But when word got out of the need, donations of gifts and money started flowing in for both Azure and her little brother Jerrick. This story of helping the family of a fallen hero is just one example of the amazing hearts of cake decorators. Stories like these happen often in the cake decorating community.
