BMW G310R -- Part 1 DIY battery basics

The BMW G310R is a great motorcycle, but models prior to 2020 have known charging system issues and all year models struggle with a weak OEM battery that is prone to early failure. Many buyers/riders may not have much experience in assessing battery health if coming from vehicles where you just never had to think about the battery or charging system. This video covers the very basic motorcycle battery tests: voltage at full charge (12.6v+) cranking voltage (10v+) charging voltage (14v - 15v) I'll post a more thorough one on overall battery health and tips specifically for G310 owners some day soon.
