Saint Narcissus' Day Luke 13:22-30 At that time, Jesus was passing through towns and villages, teaching and making his way to Jerusalem. Someone asked him, "Lord, are only a few people going to be saved?" Jesus answered, "Make every effort to enter through the narrow door. For many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able. Once the owner of the house gets up and shuts the door, you will stand outside and knock, saying, 'Lord, open the door for us!' He will answer, 'I do not know where you are from.' Then you will begin to say, 'We ate and drank in your presence, and you taught in our streets!' But he will answer, 'I do not know where you are from. Away from me, all you evildoers!' There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth there when you see Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, along with all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrown out. Men will come from east and west, from north and south, and will recline at the feast in the kingdom of God.
