Gospel of September 13, 2025 | Your Word is a Treasure

#shorts #short Gospel “Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ but do not do what I say?” (Luke 6:43-49) Alleluia. Alleluia. If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, says the Lord. My Father will love him, and we will come to him. Alleluia. (John 14:23) Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Luke At that time, Jesus said to his disciples: “A good tree does not bear rotten fruit; nor does a rotten tree bear good fruit. For every tree is known by its fruit: one does not gather figs from thornbushes, nor do one gather grapes from thistles. A good person brings forth good things from the treasure of his good heart; and an evil person brings forth evil things from his evil heart. For what the mouth speaks is what the heart overflows with. And why do you call me, saying, “Lord, Lord!” but do not do what I say? Whoever comes to me, hears my words and puts them into practice, I will show you what he is like. He is like someone who builds a house. He dug deep and laid the foundation on a rock. When the flood came, the torrent rushed against that house, but could not shake it because it was well built. But whoever listens and does not put them into practice is like someone who built his house on the ground without a foundation. The torrent rushed upon it, and immediately it collapsed; the destruction of that house was complete."             – Let Us Acclaim the Word of God.
