One protester was killed as security forces confronted thousands of people protesting against military rule in Sudan's capital Khartoum. Dozens of protestors have been killed and hundreds injured in violent anti-coup clashes over the past two months. Sudan has no government, foreign aid has been suspended, and regular demonstrations against the coup, attended by up to tens of thousands, are routinely met by a violent response from authorities.
