King Charles Honoured with Vatican Title and Custom Chair

King Charles received a new honorary title during his visit to the Vatican, where he joined Pope Leo XIV in prayer before being named “Royal Confrater” — a symbol of spiritual fellowship. In return, the King made the Pope the Papal Confrater of St George’s Chapel at Windsor. During the ceremony, Charles sat in a specially designed chair featuring his coat of arms and the Latin phrase “Ut Unum Sint” (“That they may be one”).
