Space Engineers Blueprints: FarWorks Industrial Worlds I-315 "LAD" Light Bomber

http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles... The I-315, affectionately called "Laddie" by its pilots, is a small single-seat fighter equipped to provide close range ground support. Equipped with a staggering amount of gatling guns, it can tear up targets on its way in before switching to its downward-angled rocket pod to drop a few final surprises before burning out of the combat zone. The I-315 is aggressively maneuverable given the weight of the platform, allowing it to perform side-strafing while maintaining combat speeds while keeping the operator in relative safety. ------------------------- This design was based off of one that w4stedspace built on the Escape From Mars stream called the Shotrod, that he later updated in creative to the streamlined Shockrod design. The only mod in use is the Plane Parts mod for the various wing shapes. This blueprint comes pre-fab with weapon selectors on 1 and 2. The 3 button maps to the overhead gats, which can be swiveled directly into the rear for parting fire or discouraging pursuit. 4 through 7 select the front cameras, while 8 pulls up the rocket pod camera. 9 is a piston detach command, allowing you to quickly discard the rocket pod if the clanged-out slow creep up in altitude this design suffers from becomes annoying. Control-2 has the full set of cameras to chose from including two wing-tip cameras and a second top-turret front camera as well as a rotor detach for the turret itself. The good news is this design can take some SERIOUS hits - I've had one of these reduced to a bare handful of reactors, gyros, a batter, and part of one wing and gotten it home. The bad news is, those hits really can't come from above (cockpit) or the back end. She's doesn't have much up thrust, so you need to stay moving to get extra lift from the wings. You should be able to easily pull off a high bank turn without slowing down too much, which works very well at outmaneuvering missile fire.
