Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door (Switch) - Level 1 Prologue Pit Simulated + West Side Full Playt

The hardest(?) TTYD challenge run is in the books! I played this in a post-Chapter 1 game state, to permit access to a full item inventory; I wasn't allowed to use anything collected after starting Chapter 1. In other words, it's a Level 1 Pre-Chapter 2 Pit with Koops, Earth Tremor, the second SP circle, and any badges found after the prologue banned. This is the closest possible approximation that can be made to the GameCube version of Level 1 Prologue Pit. This actually wasn't a run I was taking super seriously, but it proved to be a bit tougher than I expected, at least from 1-99. I guess it is still Level 1 Prologue Pit, and nothing can take that away from it. My disappointment is immeasurable with Bonetail, though; I didn't lose a single Life Shroom and was rarely close to. I was perfect on superguards for about the first 3/4 of the fight, but that doesn't excuse how mid this Bonetail was despite being 45 minutes long. Even a few Dayzees in the audience couldn't help him this time. Overall, I only used 7 Life Shrooms in the run, making it a perfectly legal clear by GC TTYD Level 1 Prologue Pit rules; 5 extra items was the only thing I brought that isn't accessible in the original version of this challenge. Yet somehow, I've done multiple harder challenges than this; I'd still give this version Crystal, but nowhere near as high up as its reputation. This with 10 Life Shrooms is around the same as Level 1 PHP with 5 or 6; with the full stock, it's probably easier than GC 10 HP Prologue Pit. I still don't think I could do L1PP on GC, though, simply because I'm such a better player at this version. And Slee... er, Stop Stomp is way too OP. -- Watch live at   / amazydayzee3621
