Today's Gospel Reading & Gospel Reflection - Thursday, Third Week, Advent, December 21, 2023 ( Mass Readings) - Catholic Gospel Reading and Mass Reflection Thursday of the Third Week of Advent 1st Reading Song of Solomon2:8-14 Or Zephaniah 3:14-18A Responsorial Psalm Psalms 33:2-3, 11-12, 20-21 Gospel Luke 1:39-45 Today’s Reflection on the Readings My dear brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus, the Gospel for today is clear from reading Luke 1:39–56 that God longs for a close relationship with each of us. Mama Mary sets an example for us on how to accept this wonderful invitation. She understands what a glorious privilege this is for her and knows that God wants to do this tremendous work in her. My dear friends, John realized he was in the presence of Christ while still in his mother's womb, and he rejoiced greatly at being freed from original sin and filled with almighty grace. We are therefore reminded of our joy in Christ by today's gospel reading from Luke 1:39–56. Mary, the living tabernacle of God-made flesh, is the Ark of the Covenant in which the Lord visited and redeemed His people. Mary and Elizabeth's joy serves as a reminder of how the Church should react to Christ's incarnation. My dear family of Mother Mary’s Protection, God gives us a gift for Christmas, which is the joy we experience when we acknowledge the presence of Christ. After considering the blessing of joy in every instant of our existence, let us all obey God's Word in Faith. Prayer O glorious Father and God, "Help my unbelief; I believe!"* Please pardon me for allowing uncertainty and external factors to hinder my commitment.
