Whole-genome sequencing of Korean individual almost complete

The research by a domestic biotechnology company, Macrogen, and a team from the College of Medicine at Seoul National University... was published in the international science journal Nature. The researchers noted that non-Europeans are significantly underrepresented in the human genomes that have been sequenced. They added that around 18-thousand genetic variations were found in the conventionally-used human reference genome... and the sequenced genome of an Asian individual.
