South Korean Actress Youn Yuh-Jung Wins Historic SAG Award Youn Yuh-jung has confirmed the Screen Actors Guild's newfound love affair with South Korean cinema. The 73-year-old actress made history by winning her first SAG award for her supporting role in the film "Minari." She is the first South Korean to win the individual acting category. Last year, the cast of the Oscar-winning "Parasite" clinched SAG's top ensemble prize, but none of the actors were nominated in other categories. Youn has already earned more than 30 awards for her portrayal of Soon-ja, the eccentric grandmother in "Minari," an immigrant drama set in 1980s Arkansas, written and directed by Korean American filmmaker Lee Isaac Chung.
