Georgia Jet Sweet Potatoes Growing Vertically – Update and Tips 8/10/24 #SweetPotatoHarvest

Good morning, it's August 10th, and today we're giving you an update on our Georgia Jet sweet potatoes, which we’re growing vertically along the side of our home! 🌿 These vines have completely filled the trellis, and they're even reaching up to our gutters. Not only are they thriving, but they're also starting to flower beautifully. We’ve been harvesting some of the tender sweet potato leaves to use in salads as well. We expect to harvest these sweet potatoes around the last week of September or early October. Last year, we pulled 95 lbs of sweet potatoes from a similar setup! If you haven’t seen it yet, be sure to check out our Amazing Sweet Potato Harvest video from last year to see how we managed such a bountiful harvest from just one row. 🌱 Timestamps: 0:00 - Introduction 0:08 - Overview of Vertical Sweet Potato Growth 1:10 - Harvesting Sweet Potato Leaves 1:40 - Expected Harvest Timeline 2:00 - Results from Last Year's Harvest 2:30 - Final Thoughts and Trellis Setup Prayer: 🙏 Dear Lord, thank you for blessing our garden with such abundant growth.
