Malaria Genomic Epidemiology Journal Club 2023 - Varanya Wasakul

In the first Journal Club session of 2023, Varanya Wasakul (Scientific Coordinator of the GenRe-Mekong Project at MORU) discussed her work translating malaria genomic data into meaningful knowledge that supports public health decision-making. She shared insights on how the GenRe-Mekong Project team and partners in the Greater Mekong Sub-region responded to a malaria outbreak in Laos between 2020-2021 using genetic epidemiology methods.
