Merkel in favor of snap poll over minority government
메르켈 "재선거 임할 준비돼 있어…소수정부 회의적" German Chancellor Angela Merkel has said she would prefer a snap election to leading a minority government. She told German TV that the liberal Free Democrats were to blame for ending four weeks of coalition negotiations on Sunday, when they were on, what she called, "the home straight." Merkel's former coalition partner, the Social Democrat leader Martin Schulz, has again ruled out joining forces with the Chancellor's CDU/CSU bloc. President Frank-Walter Steinmeier called on parties to "reconsider their attitudes" and form a government to resolve what he called an unprecedented political crisis in post-war Germany.
