We will explore some of the principles that were emphasized at that time: the importance of Scripture, the Grace of God, an educated faith, individual responsibility, and an openness to change in response to contemporary events. How do we prepare ourselves for the future as we consider the courage and creativity of our ancestors? How do we witness to God’s gifts as we rise to the challenges before us?
