Depeche Mode - Policy of Truth (Capitol Mix)

Some of my Favorite Remixes, part 2 of 4 The English electric band Depeche Mode released this track as the third single from their 7th studio album, and French producer and DJ François Kevorkian did the remix--he added a softer but full thumping beat and filled it with lots of awesome percussion and synth effects, while overdubs were used to make Dave Gahan's lead vocals more prominent. There's also a sample from the Checkers speech by Richard Nixon, where he says, "I want to tell you my side of the case." This Capitol Mix is my favorite version of the song, and was one of my favorite songs of 1990. "Policy of Truth" went to #16 on the UK Pop chart; in the USA it went to #15 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart and was a huge hit on the Dance charts, peaking at #2. original version on the album Violator written by Martin L.
