GTA: Liberty City Stories | 4K/60 FPS Hack | PS2 | Longplay Full Game Walkthrough No Commentary
Full game longplay walkthrough of GTA: Liberty City Stories, a first-time handheld GTA game, that released in 2005 for the PSP, and then year later released on the PS2. This being the NTSC version of PS2 port, running at a 4K Native resolution (6x Native), full widescreen, 16xAF, no dithering etc., with a 60 fps hack that unlocks the framerate up to 60 fps. FPS mostly stays between 45-60 FPS. Played on the newest/up to date version of PCSX2 emulator. Recorded at full 4K60, high quality H.265 NVENC codec via OBS. The PS2 port is basically a barebones port of the PSP version, with no multiplayer, no custom soundtrack ripping capability, and running very poorly on the original PS2 hardware. On the emulator tho, not anymore. There is a 60 fps hack, that unlocks the framerate up to 60, provided you overclock internal CPU clock of the game, and also GPU for a slight frameskip, otherwise the game would run in a slow-motion mode anytime there is a drop in internal framerate. Liberty City Stories takes place in early 1998 within the fictional Liberty City, and forms part of the "3D Universe" canon of the Grand Theft Auto series. Set three years before the events of Grand Theft Auto III, the game's setting features several areas that are different from the 2001 version of Liberty City, including locations that are being constructed, or facilities and buildings that are demolished by 2001. For instance the Callahan Bridge is unfinished in 1998 so a ferry service is the main link between Staunton Island and Portland. Another example is Fort Staunton, initially a "Little Italy" district in the game, until events later in the storyline lead to it being mostly destroyed and becoming a construction site by 2001.
