YOU CAN COOK Friday Recipes: Lemonade Fruit Scones

RECIPE // Lemonade Fruit Scones (Makes 8) INGREDIENTS: 400 grams Self-Raising Flour 175 mls Lemonade (full sugar, not sugar-free) 175 mls Double Cream Dried Fruit (you can use Sultanas , Raisins, Currants, Cranberries etc.) METHOD: Heat oven to 200 degrees. Measure the flour into a bowl Add dried fruit or leave plain Mix the cream and lemonade together Add to the flour and stir till combined On a floured surface, shape a pattie with your hands lightly. Using a cookie cutter cut your scones. Place on a greased baking tray and brush with beaten egg or milk Cook for 20 minutes. Check midway to make sure they aren't burning.
