Kalihi Union Church Sunday Stream (18 December 2022)

Aloha and thank you for joining us! Welcome to the Kalihi Union Church stream of our Sunday 10:45 service. We invite you to join us every Sunday morning at 7:15, 9:00, and 10:45 in person, and 10:45 online. "How great is the love the Father has lavished on us... This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down His life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers.” - 1 John 3:1, 16 The hymn writer wrote, "The love of God is greater far than tongue or pen could ever tell." No one knew the love of Christ like the Apostle John who called himself, "The disciple whom Jesus loved." So, when he writes his letter we call "1 John" we see the theme of love pop up regularly. But in this passage, we also see the theme of "sin." How does John see this interaction between sin and love? What does it mean for God to be holy and loving? We hear about this as we continue our Advent series "Jesus for All!" as Pastor Jonathan Steeper preaches from 1 John 3:1-10 in a message titled "Jesus the Way to Love."
