Chicken Karahi Recipe Preparation time -10 min Cooking time 20 min Serves - 5-6 Ingredients: Chicken – 1 kg Tomatoes – 1 kg Ginger garlic paste – 2 tbsp Green chili paste – 1 tbsp Kutti Lal mirch – 1 tsp Kashmiri red chili – 1 tsp Red chili powder – 1 tsp Salt – 1 tsp (adjust to taste) Dhaniya (Coriander) powder – 2 tsp Turmeric powder – ½ tsp Garam masala powder – 1 tsp Jaifal Javitri (Nutmeg & mace powder) – ¼ tsp Coriander leaves (fresh, for garnish) Ginger julienne (for garnish) Curd – ½ cup Method in 3 steps: 1. Prepare the Chicken: Start by thoroughly washing the chicken. Set it aside. 2. Cooking the Chicken: In a heated pot, pour in oil and add whole garam masala. Add chicken and fry for a few minutes, then mix in ginger-garlic paste. Add chopped tomatoes, cover, and let cook for 10 minutes. Add all remaining spices: green chilli paste, red chilli (crushed & powdered), Kashmiri red chilli, salt, coriander powder, turmeric, garam masala, nutmeg, and mace. Stir well and cook for an additional 10 minutes, keeping the flame high to let the spices meld into the chicken.
