Warren Averel and William Ashley Tappin ~ O Little Town of Bethlehem (1948)

This recording features Warren Averel on the Celeste and Hammond Organ with William Ashley Tappin on Cathedral Chimes. This is from a multiple record #78rpm release. Long play albums were still a new thing, while the 78 was well established. Many companies would produce a 78 album in which the 78's were presented in a book that made up the album. Eventually, of course, this practice was stopped in favor of the 10" LP and, eventually, the 12" LP. This was released on the #Noel label which was manufactured by Palda Record Co.
