Alleluia, alleluia. Remain faithful until death, And I will give you the crown of life. R. Alleluia, alleluia. Gospel: Luke 21:5-11 And when some of them were talking about the temple, that it was adorned with excellent stones and gifts, he said, "These things that you see, the days will come when there will not be left behind one stone upon another that will not be thrown down." Then they asked him, "Teacher, when will these things happen? And what will be the sign when these things are about to occur?" And he said, "Be cautious, lest you be deceived. For many will come in my name, saying, 'I am he,' and, 'The time has come.' Do not follow them. And when you hear of wars and uprisings, do not be frightened. These things must happen first, but the end will not come immediately." Then he told them, "Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be great earthquakes, famines, and plagues in various places; fearful events and great signs from heaven will occur."
