The rap part of the song is played by Heavy D, a member of the group Heavy D & The Boys of the time. The music video features an NBA icon: Michael Jordan. The song Jam was performed as the first song on the Dangerous World Tour, was "reduced" to Michael's Medley at Super Bowl XXVII 1993 and was performed at the 1996 Brunei royal show, concerted under the partnership of Dangerous-HIStory. It was to be performed on the This Is It tour, but the tour was canceled after the singer's death (June 25, 2009).
