RAF 100 SPECIAL The Heathrow Flypast - 10th July 2018

This video is dedicated to the those past, present and future who help keep our country safe, and also the good people at Heathrow Tower who maintain the safety of Heathrow's skies. This video shows unique, historic coverage of the epic flypast celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Royal Air Force. It begins with a look at the changes that are taking place at Heathrow. With a transition of 'Old Heathrow' and 'New Heathrow' well underway, Heathrow's Central Area is really starting to look different. I feel it is important to document the changes as they happen and on such a historic day that mattered to me personally. The rest of the video speaks for itself and I feel that I captured everything rather well, including a great atmosphere on Car Park 1A where I was joined by fellow enthusiasts, airport workers and airline crews. The lady who was on atc exclaimed to the first landing BA aircraft afterwoods that after 28 years of working at Heathrow Tower that, that was 'Probably the greatest moment she had ever witnessed at Heathrow!' - That to me says everything about this occasion - unique.
