Today's Gospel Wednesday, November 22, 2023 🙏🏻 ✝️ Jesus and Zacchaeus Luke 19:1-10 Word of God 📖 This is what the Bible says: Jesus and Zacchaeus - Capsules for the Soul Jesus entered Jericho and began to pass through the city. 2 Now there lived a rich man named Zacchaeus, a chief tax collector for Rome. 3 He wanted to meet Jesus, but he couldn't see him because there were so many people and Zacchaeus was short. 4 So he ran ahead and climbed a tree near the place where Jesus was to pass by. 5 As Jesus was passing by, he looked up and said to him, "Zacchaeus, come down quickly, for I must stay at your house today." 6 Zacchaeus hurried down and welcomed Jesus. 7 When they saw this, they all began to criticize Jesus, saying that he had gone to stay in the house of a sinner. 8 Then Zacchaeus stood up and said to the Lord, "Look, Lord, I will give half of all I have to the poor; and if I have stolen anything from anyone, I will pay back four times as much." 9 Jesus said to him, "Salvation has come to this house today, because this man, too, is a descendant of Abraham. 10 For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save what was lost."
