UN officers distribute aid to thousands of displaced people in South Sudan
The United Nations has been distributing aid to thousands of displaced people in South Sudan's Western Equatorial region. [ It's the first visit peacekeepers have made to the area since July. The villages of Bangasu and Rimenze are the worst affected. Residents there are battling a volatile security situation -- with ongoing violence between rival armed groups. Locals who have fled their homes have sought shelter in temporary refugee camps. Many have no access to food or clean water.
