2024-11-18: 6:15 pm Celebration of the Holy Mass for Monday of the 33rd Week in Ordinary Time

Good evening and welcome to the celebration of the Holy Mass for Monday of the 33rd Week in Ordinary Time. We have the optional memorial for the Dedication of the Basilicas of Saints Peter and Paul. We are definitely approaching the end of this LIturgical Year and our readings continue to invite us to reflect upon the end times and in particular our own journey with the Lord. In our readings from the Book of Revelation we will hear about the condition of the Seven Churches in Asia. Today we hear about the Church in Ephesus and how they are challenged because they have abandoned their first love for the Church. In the Gospel, the faith of the blind man is seen by Jesus and his sight is restored. As we spend time with our readings, we are invited to look at the spiritual blindness in our own lives and repent for any ways in which we have become lukewarm to our faith. The Responsorial Psalm is Psalm 1: "Those who are victorious I will feed from the tree of life".
