The BAD ENDING in Black Myth: Wukong Explained | What does it mean? #blackmythwukong #shorts #edit

In the bad ending, “The Destined One” defeats "the Great Sage" and takes his place as the new Wukong. As he fades away, he will drop his golden headband which the Old Monkey will then place on the Destined One. The Destined One takes the place of Wukong in the Birthstone, waiting for another descendant to come and take his place. In myth, Wukong’s golden headband was a magical tool that would tighten around his head whenever he rebelled causing him excruciating pain. The headband was created as a means to keep Wukong in check. At the beginning of the game, this headband is why Wukong loses his battle against Erlang. This is a bad ending, as it shows the Destined One is unable to grasp Wukong’s desire for freedom and rebellion against celestial authority. Instead, he resigns to wearing the headband once more, symbolizing the continuation of Wukong’s cursed fate, rather than achieving liberation. This could also be seen as a “good ending” as Wukong accepts the headband to nerf his uncontrollable desires and heed to Buddha's teachings. #blackmythwukong #blackmythwukoinggameplay #gaming #shorts
