How to Put Jeep Gladiator in 4 Wheel Drive
Putting your Jeep Gladiator into 4-wheel drive (4WD) is easy. Here's how to do it: Prepare Your Vehicle: Before engaging 4WD, make sure your Jeep Gladiator is either stopped or moving at a slow speed, ideally under 60 mph (97 km/h). Locate the 4WD Controls: The 4WD controls are typically located near the gear shifter or on the dashboard. Look for a switch or dial labeled with 2H, 4H, and 4L. Select 4WD Mode: 4H (4-High): Use this mode for driving on slippery or uneven surfaces, such as snow, mud, or gravel. It provides better traction than 2WD. While driving at low speeds, shift the vehicle into neutral (N). Move the 4WD selector switch or dial to the 4H position. Shift the vehicle back into gear (Drive or Reverse) and continue driving. 4L (4-Low): Use this mode for more extreme off-road conditions, such as steep inclines, deep mud, or rocky terrain. It provides maximum traction and torque. Bring your Jeep Gladiator to a complete stop. Shift the transmission into neutral (N) using the gear shifter. Move the 4WD selector switch or dial to the 4L position. Shift the vehicle back into gear (Drive or Reverse) and continue driving. Note that 4L mode is typically only for off-road use and should not be used on dry pavement. Monitor 4WD Indicator Lights: Once you've selected the desired 4WD mode, monitor the instrument cluster for any indicator lights that confirm 4WD engagement. These lights will typically illuminate when 4WD is activated. Disengage 4WD: When you no longer need 4WD mode, such as when returning to regular driving conditions, reverse the above steps to shift the vehicle back into 2WD mode (2H). This usually involves bringing the vehicle to a stop, shifting into neutral (N), and selecting the appropriate 2WD mode. Always refer to your Jeep Gladiator's owner's manual for specific instructions and recommendations regarding 4WD operation. Additionally, practice using 4WD in a safe, controlled environment before tackling challenging terrain. Please Subscribe To My Channel For More Great Content: / @diypinto
