Two Faced by Linkin Park | Quad Cortex Tone Recreation

In this video, we will recreate the guitar tone of Two Faced by Linkin Park by building the preset on the Neural DSP Quad Cortex. I learned the song in about five minutes, so ignore the incorrect parts and focus on the playing. I cut the playthrough parts down so it's not the whole song. Preset available here: https://cloud.neuraldsp.com/cloud/dis... After further investigation, I learned Brad Delson used the Marshall Plexi 1959SLP in the studio for the Meteora album, so our use of the JCM800 got us nice and close. If I were to start again, I'd probably consider using the Brit Plexi 100 Normal model with the 412 CA Trad A V30 '92 cab. The settings outlined in this video will allow you to replicate the tone on other modelling devices like the Line 6 Helix, Fractal FM3 or Fractal FM9. You could also get this tone on Neural DSP plugins like Archetype: Gojira, Archetype: Nolly, or any other plugins with high-gain models (Rabea, etc.). Any amp modeller (software or hardware) would be able to get the tone for this song and album. 0:00 Teaser 0:14 Intro 1:20 Initial observations 2:23 Creating the preset 4:07 Song comparison 1 5:05 Overdrive 7:12 Tweaking the amp 8:03 Input levelling 8:43 Overdrive tweaks 9:28 Lo pass filter 10:37 Song comparison 2 11:20 Further amp tweaks 12:44 Creating scenes 14:00 Song comparison 3 14:55 I break a string :( 15:45 Adjusting levels 17:20 Graphic EQ 19:40 Final song comparison 20:50 Summary 22:35 End
