DIY CUSTOM MONEY LEI FOR GRADUATIONS, BIRTHDAYS, WEDDINGS, RETIREMENT AND MANY MORE OCCASIONS!

Need a creative way to give someone a gift? You can’t go wrong with a money lei! Use paper currency in any denomination to make roses and then attach them to a ribbon lei to create a unique gift. These leis are great for so many occasions: graduations, birthdays, Mother’s Day, weddings, showers, and retirements…just to name a few. Customize by choosing the ribbon colors and whatever decorative accents you would like to add. Sky’s the limit! I went over the process of how to make the roses a bit quickly in this tutorial as I have a separate video which demonstrates the steps in detail. The standard length of a lei (diameter) is 48 inches. Every person is different, so please keep this in mind when determining what size you make your lei. The average sized adult should be fine with a 48 inch lei, but if the recipient is smaller please size down accordingly. When I made this for an elementary school promotion, I made the lei 42 inches. Please note you will need 2 pieces of ribbon at 6 yards each for each color. That works out to a total of 12 yards of ribbon in each color to create one 48 inch lei.
