The Future of Art Fairs
Art fairs played a dominant role in the market for decades but were forced to shut their doors when the Covid-19 pandemic struck. Now that collectors and dealers have had the opportunity to see a world without any real-life art fairs for more than a year – what is the verdict? What is the appetite for such events now that some of the pandemic-related restrictions are easing? A panel of art world professionals discuss what have we learnt along the way and what could follow. Moderated by Jan Dalley (Financial Times) With Melanie Gerlis, Catherine Petitgas, Christian Hemmerle and Catherine Walsh. This TEFAF Talk by the Financial Times was part of TEFAF Online 2021’s virtual programming and broadcast live on September 9, 2021.
