The detainment and deportation of Duterte last week has roiled the country’s political scene before midterm elections in May. Rodrigo Duterte, the former president of the Philippines, is being tried for the first time in the drug war case before the International Criminal Court while he is being held at the Scheveningen jail in The Hague.
