2019 ABA NAAC Competition

The Baylor Law School team of Kyle Gardner, Haley Mowdy, and Kyle Stone were crowned champions of the 2018-2019 National Appellate Advocacy Competition. The final rounds were held from April 11-13 in Chicago. The topic for the 2019 competition was the Eighth Amendment, focusing on solitary confinement, cruel and unusual punishment, and adolescent incarceration. They defeated the St. Mary’s University School of Law team of Katelynn Duane Armijo, Bobby Biedrzycki, Nicole Cooper.
