If your iPhone doesn’t ring, or you don’t get notified of new messages or alerts, check and turn off silent mode. You might see a bell with a slash icon at the top left corner of your iPhone screen. Swipe down from the top right corner to open the control center and tap on the bell icon. Also, check the Focus or Do Not Disturb, If it’s enabled, Turn off from the Control Center or Settings app. If you cannot hear the ongoing video or song volume, Turn Off Bluetooth or Disconnect Bluetooth Accessories. Settings - Bluetooth - Turn Off it. If you still get low volume, Check Volume Settings. Launch the Settings app on your iPhone. Scroll to Sounds and Haptics. Drag the volume slider under the Ringer and Alerts section to increase the volume level. Or, turn on the toggle next to “Change with buttons” and press the volume up button to increase the volume. That’s it. If the sound cuts off, Force Restart your iPhone. If you have recorded a video on your iPhone and it does not sound while you play it, you might have touched the speaker icon at the bottom right side of your iPhone. So, tap on it to unmute the video sound. Alternatively, press the volume-up button to increase the sound level of your iPhone. If there is no sound when using AirPods or other hearing devices, check Accessibility settings. Launch the Settings app on your iPhone. Scroll down and tap on Accessibility. Again, scroll down to the hearing section and tap on the Audio or visual section. You can see a slider for the balance option. Make sure the slider is set in the middle. Then, play music and check if it fixes your problem. Clean your iPhone’s speaker Remove your iPhone cover; a cheap quality cover overlays the speaker grill, and you may hear a crackling sound from the speaker. If you use an iPhone case, make sure it does not cover your device’s speaker and microphone area. Then, remove the case and clean your iPhone’s speaker grill using a soft bristle toothbrush to see if that helps. Check For Software Update Make sure your iPhone is connected to a secure wireless network. Launch the Settings app on your iPhone. Tap on the General section. Then, tap on Software Update. Wait for your device to check for updates. If Update is available, tap Update now and follow the on-screen procedure. If your iPhone has the latest iOS version, skip this step. Sometimes, moisture and accidental drops may cause the connection of your iPhone speaker to be lost and cause audio failure. You can test the speaker by blocking the speaker grill one by one. At the bottom, there are left and right speaker grills. The left grill is not a speaker; it’s a microphone. Right-side holes for the speaker and another speaker are available at the top. Play some music or Podcast, then put your finger at the top and bottom like this; no sound will come from your iPhone. As you lift your finger from the top speaker grill, the sound will come from there. Now, Lift your finger from the bottom speaker, and sound will come from there. However, it doesn’t affect when you Block the left speaker hole. That means your iPhone speaker is working perfectly. Contact Apple Support, none of the work.
