REVIEW | Playmates Toys MonsterVerse: Godzilla VS. Kong (2021) Kong With Battle Axe

2021's "Godzilla VS. Kong" is the fourth entry in Legendary's cinematic MonsterVerse franchise, following the events of 2019's "Godzilla: King Of The Monsters". The film follows Kong and his journey into the Hollow Earth to find an energy source to power a device that can stop a rogue Godzilla. Kong ends up finding an entire undiscovered ecosystem and an abandoned temple made by his ancient ancestors, which is also where he gets his axe from. In 2020, Playmates Toys worked with Legendary & Toho to bring some cheaper, mass produced Godzilla & Kong toys to the market, and this was one of them: their first attempt at the Eighth Wonder of the World in nearly 15 years!. Sporting a brand new battle axe, and dry brushing on his body, as well as bringing back the battle damage feature we haven't seen since the 1990's Jurassic Park toys, will this figure show that the original is always the best?
