Film Piotra Stasika jest próbą zmierzenia się z problemami kondycji współczesnego człowieka w oparciu o opowieści 21 bohaterów spotkanych w nowojorskim metrze. Efektem jest filmowy esej o poszukiwaniu sensu istnienia, a zarazem hipnotyczny portret miasta, w którym spotykają się rozmaite rasy, kultury i światopoglądy, choć pojedynczy ludzie coraz bardziej się ze sobą rozmijają. Film, rozwijany podczas DOK.Incubator, Doc Lab Poland i prezentowany w Krakowie w ramach 4. edycji Docs to go! oraz we Wrocławiu na Polish Days miał swoją premierę jako film otwarcia podczas 56. Krakowskiego Festiwalu Filmowego. Piotr Stasik jest również autorem scenariusza i zdjęć do filmu. Producentem filmu jest firma Lava Films (Agnieszka Wasiak). Film jest nominowany do Europejskiej Nagrody Filmowej 2016 w kategorii Najlepszy Europejski Film Dokumentalny. Gala wręczenia 29. Europejskich Nagród Filmowych odbędzie się 10 grudnia 2016 we Wrocławiu. *** Piotr Stasik's film is a look at the human condition based on the stories of 21 protagonists he met in the New York subway. The result is a film essay about the search for the meaning of existence, and a hypnotic portrait of a city that brings together various races, cultures, and viewpoints, even if individual people find it increasingly difficult to come together. Developed within the framework of DOK.Incubator and Doc Lab Poland, presented in Krakow at the fourth edition of Docs to go! and in WrocĹ aw at Polish Days, 21 x Nowy Jork (21 x New York) premiered as the opening film of the 56th Krakow Film Festival. Piotr Stasik also wrote and lensed the film. The film was produced by Lava Films (Agnieszka Wasiak). Piotr Stasik's 21 x Nowy Jork (21 x New York) will compete for the European Film Awards in the Best European Documentary category. The 29th European Film Awards ceremony will be held on December 10 in Wrocław.
