Talking about installing bushings in a clock using both cutting broaches/reamers. Using KWM reamers
In this video I show you that I learnt to install bushings using cutting broaches. I have since purchased a KWM reamer set but I first learned to install bushings using cutting broaches and another video that I did you can get the entire set up of broaches to include the pin vices for around $25 or less. The following part numbers is what I ordered from timesavers (Prices as of 17 April 2024): P/N 19587 cutting broaches .9mm to 4.0 mm cost $16 P/N 29069 10-piece diamond reamer set cost $5 P/N 19685 4-piece pin vise set $8.25 set You would also want a smooth cutting broach at least the following which is .9 mm at the biggest but other clock holes have a bigger diameter hole so for most pivots for cuckoo clocks it would need p/n 23216 Stub size #64 (.0354”-the largest diameter the broach will smooth). 1-7/8” long. No. 23216 $4.00 each
