Inspired by the rustic Adirondack style, the Hickory Flat Owl Cuckoo Clock is hand crafted of natural materials and genuine imported traditional Black Forest clockworks, making it the perfect home for a softly hooting owl. Yes, in this clock an owl replaces the usual cuckoo bird of the cuckoo clock. Mounted on the bird post as the cuckoo would be, the hand painted owl swings into the door opening to hoot every hour and half hour. As for all of our American made cuckoo clocks, the clockworks are imported from the Black Forest in Germany. This clock feature an 8-day Regula movement with auto shutoff. The very special bellows are configured a bit differently from those of a normal cuckoo to mimic the owl call and are made by Kienzler in Schonach, Germany.
