Prime Minister due to chair Cabinet meeting

(18 Dec 2018) British Prime Minister Theresa May was holding a weekly Cabinet meeting at Downing Street on Tuesday, set to discuss preparations for a "no-deal" Brexit. The discussions Tuesday were expected to centre on how two billion pounds (2.5 billion US dollars) in government funding to absorb the potential economic chaos is to be allocated. With Britain's departure from the bloc just over 100 days  away, it remains unclear whether the country will leave with a deal or crash out with no deal - an outcome that risks touching off gridlock at ports and shortages of goods.
