New Vegas Roleplay : Offering My Body To Old Lady Gibson For Thrust Control Modules. (Fallout NV RP)

Welcome to another Dayton Does roleplay friends! We will be following the adventures of Nick Omerta of Gomorrah as he leaves his life of loose morals and heavy vices behind. The Omerta family of Gomorrah have always shunned Nick, the supposed child of an NCR soldier and the talented Joana... Now Nick attempts to make his own name. There are plenty of opportunities to make a name for himself, and therefore the Omerta family. While he sends plenty of people towards Gomorrah, his heart is conflicted about his direction. Will he join a faction? How much does he actually know about the inner workings of Gomorrah? Nick Omerta will have to make some hard choices. The Omerta Family of Gomorrah don't take too kindly to people leaking their business around, so if you see any of them keep your mouth shut about the things that Nick has told you. He is a bit of a joker with a loose mouth, but I hope that you will find him to be a different sort of character than what I have done before. Please enjoy! Sunday@6PM PST:   / daytondoes   Welcome to Vegas. New Vegas. It’s the kind of town where you dig your own grave prior to being shot in the head and left for dead…and that’s before things really get ugly. It’s a town of dreamers and desperados being torn apart by warring factions vying for complete control of this desert oasis. It’s a place where the right kind of person with the right kind of weaponry can really make a name for themselves, and make more than an enemy or two along the way. As you battle your way across the heat-blasted Mojave Wasteland, the colossal Hoover Dam, and the neon drenched Vegas Strip, you’ll be introduced to a colorful cast of characters, power-hungry factions, special weapons, mutated creatures and much more. Choose sides in the upcoming war or declare “winner takes all” and crown yourself the King of New Vegas in this follow-up to the 2008 videogame of the year, Fallout 3. Enjoy your stay. Feel the Heat in New Vegas! Not even nuclear fallout could slow the hustle of Sin City. Explore the vast expanses of the desert wastelands – from the small towns dotting the Mojave Wasteland to the bright lights of the New Vegas strip. See the Great Southwest as could only be imagined in Fallout. Feuding Factions, Colorful Characters and a Host of Hostiles! A war is brewing between rival factions with consequences that will change the lives of all the inhabitants of New Vegas. The choices you make will bring you into contact with countless characters, creatures, allies, and foes, and determine the final explosive outcome of this epic power struggle. New Systems! Enjoy new additions to Fallout: New Vegas such as a Companion Wheel that streamlines directing your companions, a Reputation System that tracks the consequences of your actions, and the aptly titled Hardcore Mode to separate the meek from the mighty. Special melee combat moves have been added to bring new meaning to the phrase “up close and personal”. Use V.A.T.S. to pause time in combat, target specific enemy body parts and queue up attacks! An Arsenal of Shiny New Guns! With double the amount of weapons found in Fallout 3, you’ll have more than enough new and exciting ways to deal with the threats of the wasteland and the locals. In addition, Vault-Tec engineers have a weapons configuration system that lets you tinker with your toys. Fallout New Vegas expecting to be disappointed. After 50 hours I can safely say that New Vegas is probably one of the best rpgs I have ever played. Little things like the gunplay are improved over 3. But what is most important to me is how much more immersive the Mojave Desert was to me than... I can't even remember where Fallout 3 was set. The characters are more interesting. The lore is more interesting. Even the locations are more interesting. Not just that, but New Vegas presents a fantastical world which is also believable. For example, the first town the player visits in Fallout 3 is a town with no apparent source of clean water or food, and is build around an innate, but still potentially armed, nuclear warhead. After the whole charm of the initial encounter wears off, the whole setting seems rather ludicrious. New Vegas on the other hand starts the player off in a believeable town with an active farming community and clean source of water. From the very start of the game, New Vegas presents a world worth roleplaying in because the world seems real enough to actually care about. - old hotax
