Anti-Jewish sentiment is particularly rife on college campuses, where staff hired to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion, often promote antisemitic attitudes. In terms of hate crimes, the FBI’s most recent statistics will probably surprise a lot of people: Last year, 56 percent of all religiously-motivated hate crimes were against Jewish people—that’s while Jews people make up less than 2 percent of the U.S. population. To compare, Muslims were the next most targeted group, experiencing less than 9 percent of religiously-motivated hate crimes, while Muslims make up about 1 percent of the population.  So what is feeding this trend? And why, in an era of hyper sensitivity to racism, is there so little public outcry when Jews are the ones being targeted?   We discuss these questions with Brooke Goldstein, a civil rights lawyer and executive director of The Lawfare Project. - Hi everyone!
